June 2003 - LibQuest selected as key tool
Experience has shown us that responding to bids and producing effective business proposals is a very labour intensive activity and therefore a very costly process. Since much of this cost can be attributed to ‘people’ time, anything that can support more effective working practices should be most welcome. There are a number of fairly new, innovative, cost efficient tools available in the bid space that offer effective solutions to day to day bidding issues.

Practical Bid Solutions Limited (PBSL) specialise in the implementation of these tools which many ‘Blue Chip’ organisations now use as standard business tool, for example:

  • Managing Your Bid Library
The continual creation of customer bids and proposals as part of the sales process has the potential to do one of two things; either to enable the development of a highly valuable and powerful source of Intellectual Capital for future bids or take up a lot of otherwise valuable and expensive disk space! To ensure you achieve the former and avoid the latter, you need to look at LibQuest, from Thought Process Associates, which will enable you to capture, manage, selectively search and retrieve that valuable Intellectual Capital that is now an effective bid library
PBSL is a TPA partner.

March 2003 - Thought Process Associates launch LibQuest
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new product LibQuest, a library management system to support the selling process. It records, finds and retrieves information built up for a bid, proposal or sales agreement with a client.

More effective selling through re-use of existing bid information

Based upon a process structure
Like its sister product ProcessKit, it is structured around process, ensuring quality and performance for bid management. It is very easy to use and ideal for companies that rely on a bid process for securing sales.

LibQuest can help you:
  • Support collaborative bid development
  • Ensure maximum re-use of information, which has already been approved
  • Train and educate in bid creation and management
The benefits are:
  • Reduced cost and time in preparing bids
  • Faster development of consistent and quality bids
  • Better re-use of material that has worked before
  • More effective training in bid creation and management
Licence or hosting
We sell LibQuest licences or provide a hosted service. Why not try it out free for a month?

Mar 2003 - PBSL Partnership
We are very pleased to welcome Practical Bid Solutions (PBSL) as our major partner for LibQuest. PBSL will use its leading position in the Bid and Proposal consultancy service market to recommend LibQuest to its clients, as part of their solution to enable consistent and repeatable sales and bid execution.

"Becoming a partner with TPA was a natural step for us," said Chris Whyatt, CEO of PBSL. "Now we are able to offer our customers LibQuest to enable them to manage the continually developing intellectual property within their bids and improve their win ratio through selective re-use and ongoing development."

Chris Whyatt, CEO of PBSL, was a co-founder of the UK Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) and was until recently the COO, which was established to allow proposal management professionals to network with one another, and to share best practice.

PBSL is a consultancy that guides successful organisations looking to take a major step to improve their performance through the implementation of practical bid processes and infrastructures.
